During this time a spot inspection of construction works was carried out in various village panchayats. The Deputy Commissioner inspected development works on site in Gram Panchayat Bemetra under Balodabazar block and Gram Panchayat Sitdewari under Palari block, communicating directly with beneficiaries and villagers. During the inspection the housing built under the Prime Minister Housing Scheme - Rural was examined and symbolic keys of happiness were handed to beneficiaries who had completed their housing. Beneficiaries were asked about housing construction, received assistance, construction quality and changes in their lives due to the scheme. They directed officials to ensure that eligible families receive the scheme benefits in a time-bound, transparent and quality manner. The Deputy Commissioner also conducted a detailed inspection of water security projects under V B - Giramji, reviewing new ponds, Amrit reservoir, sand filter based borewell recharge structures and check dam constructions on site for technical and utility aspects. He instructed officials that water conservation and groundwater recharge works should not be limited to construction only, but should be selected based on local needs, catchment, water retention capacity and long-term utility. He stated that the aim of V B - Giramji is to provide employment, build durable assets in village panchayats, strengthen water security, conserve natural resources and strengthen rural livelihoods. Hence, the direct benefits of each approved work under the scheme should be visible to the rural community. During the site inspection the Deputy Commissioner sat on the ground with villagers in a comfortable and friendly atmosphere, discussing implementation of schemes, local needs, employment, housing and development works, and listening to their experiences and suggestions. He directed field staff to prioritize work according to the approved plans of the gram sabha, reflecting the actual needs of villagers. Afterwards, in the district panchayat meeting hall in Balodabazar, a departmental review meeting was held to review the progress of V B - Giramji, the PM Housing Scheme - Rural and various schemes of the Rural Development Department. The Deputy Commissioner emphasized quality, timely completion, labor planning, adherence to technical standards and transparency of approved works under the scheme. He told officials to make field inspections a regular part of the process and not compromise on the quality of any construction work. Instructions were given to ensure maximum rainfall capture, improve groundwater levels and provide sustainable water availability in rural areas through water conservation structures. During the inspection and review, CEO of the district panchayat Ms. Divya Aggarwal and officials and staff of the concerned block panchayats, technical staff and panchayat representatives were present.
