The victory of the people of Bastar, Naxalism has lost - Deputy Chief Minister Shri Vijay Sharma

Raipur, Deputy Chief Minister Shri Vijay Sharma and Forest Minister Shri Kedar Kashyap reached Shyamgiri in Dantewada today. Where they reached the site of the 2019 incident in Shyamgiri and paid tribute to the martyrs. Local people, eyewitnesses, and colleagues of late Shri Bhima Mandavi described the horror of the incident.

Deputy Chief Minister Shri Vijay Sharma and Forest Minister Shri Kedar Kashyap planted saplings in memory of the 13 martyrs of the incidents in Aranpur and Shyamgiri. They met the local people with affection. The two ministers met the martyr families and inquired about the facilities being provided after discussion with them. Everyone's eyes became moist in this sensitive moment when they met Smt. Ojasvi Mandavi, wife of their colleague and then Dantewada MLA late Shri Bhima Mandavi. Everyone remembered the martyrs by observing silence in their memory.

On this occasion, Deputy Chief Minister Shri Sharma said that all of us have lost someone in Naxal violence, some have lost their friend, some their brother, father, relative, acquaintance, and some have lost their loved ones. He said that when the Naxal victims had reached the Rashtrapati Bhavan under the Kenja Naxal Manva Mata campaign, a little girl had told how she had lost both her eyes in Naxal violence.

Deputy Chief Minister Shri Vijay Sharma and Forest Minister Shri Kedar Kashyap said today that we have struggled a lot to hoist the tricolor. Today we are able to proudly wave the tricolor after the martyrdom of many people. Earlier, Naxals used to intimidate people for hoisting the tricolor, now no one can stop us from hoisting the tricolor. This means that the Constitution of India will now be implemented in every corner without any fear. He appealed to everyone to hoist the tricolor at their homes and also inspire their neighbors. He said that if you are not able to participate in the Tiranga Yatra, then definitely hoist the tricolor on social media and ask everyone to do so. He said that the people of Bastar have won and Naxalism has lost. The resolve of the people of Bastar has worked to uproot Naxalism.

On the demand of the villagers, Deputy Chief Minister Shri Vijay Sharma said that he would recommend naming the Nakulanar to Bacheli road after martyr Bhima Mandavi and directed the Collector to complete all the procedures for this.

On this occasion, everyone planted saplings under the initiative 'One tree in the name of martyrs' and collected soil from the incident site. MP Shri Mahesh Kashyap, Zila Panchayat President Shri Nandlal Mudami, IG Bastar Shri Badrinarayan Meena, Collector, SP and a large number of villagers were present.

Discussions with group women

The Deputy Chief Minister discussed with the women of the Bihaan group present there and asked them to get trained in processing minor forest produce and work. He informed that under the 'Chhattisgala' brand, the government is now providing assistance to Bihaan products, which should be availed.

Meeting with Bastar Pandum winners returned from Rashtrapati Bhavan

The two ministers met the Bastar Pandum winning Mandari Dal from Aranpur who had returned from Rashtrapati Bhavan and spoke with them. He jokingly told the women that earlier you went to the President in Delhi, now the President will also come to your house for tea. To which everyone said that we also want her to come to Bastar, we will also feed her food with our own hands.
