Deputy Chief Minister Shri Vijay Sharma reviewed schemes for the rehabilitation of Naxal-affected families. He also announced the construction of 109 martyr memorials with QR codes providing complete information about the martyrs and incidents, and launched a special campaign for the resolution of pending cases. Instructions were given to accelerate assistance to Naxal-affected families and to the families of martyrs. In Raipur, at Mahanaadi Bhawan Auditorium in New Raipur Atal Nagar, on Monday, the Deputy Chief Minister examined the progress of assistance and facilities being provided to families affected by Naxal violence, rehabilitated youth and people impacted by Maoist activities. He directed officials to ensure timely action on granting government scheme benefits to affected families, integrating rehabilitated youth into mainstream society, constructing martyr memorials, and swiftly resolving pending cases. He expressed great satisfaction that martyr families had received 100 percent compassionate appointments and stressed that the government's responsibility towards martyr families is a top priority and they should face no difficulties. He also ordered regular updates of the SBI dashboard to monitor the real‑time status of Naxal‑affected families, rehabilitated individuals and related cases. He reviewed the progress of 109 martyr memorials to be built at sites of incidents or villages of those killed in Maoist violence, directed a standard design and fast completion of construction, and explained that the memorials will serve as educational tools for future generations with QR codes linking to detailed information. He examined cases of victims of Naxal violence who have not yet received relief and ordered a special drive to identify such cases, receive applications and provide assistance to eligible beneficiaries, emphasizing that no eligible family should be denied aid. He instructed that pending cases be resolved at the grassroots level. He reviewed cases related to rehabilitated youth, directing that serious cases such as UAPA and mass casualty matters be treated with urgency, and that professional lawyers, public prosecutors and government advocates be assembled for effective action. He also ordered rapid resolution of other cases and completion of segregation processes. He reviewed the naming of schools, intersections and government buildings in honor of martyrs, directing immediate departmental approvals and swift completion of naming. He ensured that compensation and incentive payments for all eligible cases of civilian casualties and injured personnel from Maoist violence are fully disbursed without delay. He inspected rehabilitation centres, ordering provision of health, sanitation, food and seasonal disease prevention measures, and instructed collectors to conduct regular spot inspections and promptly address any shortcomings. He directed that any remaining award money for rehabilitated youth be paid by the end of the month and that discharged persons returning from other states be linked to rehabilitation centres and provided skill‑development training for dignified livelihoods. He discussed out‑of‑state rehabilitated youth wishing to return home and ordered coordination with their home states for repatriation. He emphasized that rehabilitation must go beyond financial aid to provide respectable social positions and sustainable livelihoods, urging gram panchayat representatives to help beneficiaries access all government schemes and livelihood activities. He prioritized development works in the 50 villages selected under the Ilavad Panchayat Scheme, directing immediate approval and commencement of projects to bring basic amenities to those areas. He also ordered the reversal of sterilisation procedures for rehabilitated youth who had been sterilised, ensuring necessary action. The meeting highlighted effective implementation of rehabilitation policy, timely assistance to Naxal‑affected families, welfare of martyr families, resolution of pending cases and enabling rehabilitated youth to lead respectable, self‑reliant lives, calling for better inter‑departmental coordination. Senior officials present included Principal Secretary Home Nisharika Barik, Secretaries Nisha Chhmpawat and Himshikhar Gupta, DG Police Housing Corporation Pavan Dev and ADG Naxal Vivekanand Sinha.
