Dependents of Deceased Employees of Disbanded Transport Corporation to Receive Anukampa Appointments

Raipur, the Chhattisgarh government has taken a major and sensitive decision in the interest of the families of deceased employees of the Disbanded Transport Corporation that falls under the Infrastructure Development Corporation (CIDC). On the initiative of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai, a decision was made to formulate a new policy to provide anukampa appointments to the dependent members of these deceased employees. For determining this policy, the state administration has formed a 07-member inter-departmental committee chaired by the Secretary of the General Administration Department, as ordered by the General Administration Department. Why is a new policy needed? According to the General Administration Department, earlier the dependents of these deceased employees were given anukampa appointments in the position of Teacher-Class-Three. However, after the teacher post was abolished, the Water Resources Department issued an order on 13 December 2022 providing for anukampa appointments in the third and fourth grade vacancies of CIDC. Because there were no vacant posts in CIDC, many important anukampa appointment cases remained pending for a long time, causing severe financial hardship for the dependent families. Committee formed on the Chief Minister’s directions, report to be submitted within one month. Given the sensitivity of the matter, directives of the High Court and the paramount interest of the employees, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai has instructed the formulation of a new policy for a permanent solution. The seven-member high-level committee will submit a detailed report to the government within a month. Based on the committee’s report, final approval will be taken from the cabinet (Council of Ministers), after which the new policy will be formally notified. Main objective of the government The clear objective of the state government is that the dependents of deceased employees should not have to face any kind of financial crisis. Implementation of this new policy will swiftly settle the long-pending cases and the affected families will receive the right to anukampa appointments and financial support as soon as possible.
