Daughters' flag on the chessboard – Chief Minister Shri Sai extends best wishes on the historic achievement

Raipur, July 28, 2025/Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai, expressing joy and pride over the historic performance of India's daughters in the FIDE Women's Chess World Cup – 2025, has extended his best wishes to the winner Divya Deshmukh and runner-up Koneru Humpy.

Chief Minister Shri Sai said that this was not just a sports competition, but a symbolic picture of the strength, resolve, and capability of India's daughters. When two Indian daughters are face to face in the final of the World Cup, that moment becomes a celebration of not pride but self-confidence for India.

He said that winning the title by Divya Deshmukh and becoming the runner-up by Koneru Humpy is proof that India's daughters are now not behind in any field. This victory is going to take the self-esteem and self-confidence of the entire country, especially the daughters of the country, to new heights.

The Chief Minister further said that through these three qualities – determination, concentration and diligence – Divya and Humpy not only achieved victory on the chessboard, but also gave the message to the daughters of every village and city of India that there is no limit to realizing dreams.
