Cyber Cell Backs Police in Masturi Sexual Harassment Probe

A collaborative effort between Masturi police and the cyber crime cell has resulted in the arrest of three suspects linked to a viral obscene video targeting a woman in Bilaspur. The incident, reported on August 13, 2026, prompted charges under multiple penal provisions, including the IT Act and the SC‑ST Act.

The complainant, whose brother runs an agricultural transport business, claimed that two former workers – Pitambar Singh and Ajay Chaudhary – were dismissed after discrepancies were found in the accounts. Resentful, they allegedly conspired to intimidate the family.

The alleged offenders visited the brother’s home late on July 9, shouted caste‑based epithets, threatened to kill, and later showed an explicit recording of the complainant and her spouse. The video was subsequently uploaded to the internet, leading to widespread humiliation.

A special digital‑forensics team located the accused in Khapri Limtara, arrested them and secured their judicial remand. During questioning the men confirmed their role in disseminating the video. The police continue to analyze server logs and social media channels to map the video’s spread and identify any further participants.
