Court Sends Accused to Judicial Remand in Bilaspur Fake Marriage Case

Following a formal complaint on 25 August 2026, senior officials directed a special team to locate the alleged perpetrator. The team arrested Ranjit Giri Goswami, son of Dinesh Puri Goswami, who was residing in Ward 12, Vikas Nagar, Chakarbhatha. He was charged under Section 69 of the B.N.S. Act for deception and caste‑based refusal, and the magistrate ordered his transfer to a judicial remand prison.
