Raipur. The All India Congress Committee (AICC) has directed to raise the issue of census based census from all State Congress Committees (PCCs). A circular has been issued by the organization general secretary, a Venugopal Rao regarding this. In this, action plan and strategy from on ground to social media levels have been clarified.
AICC General Secretary and MP KC Venugopal informed all Congress state presidents and leaders of Congress Legislature Party about the proposal passed in CWC for caste census. All PCCs have been instructed to raise the issue of caste census prominently in the Constitution Rescue Rally. Article 15 (5) of the Constitution has been instructed to give special emphasis. But this circular does not mention to extend the reservation beyond 50 percent.
It was told in the circular that Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge had repeated this demand by writing a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on this subject. Rahul Gandhi has been the most vocal and firm voice on this issue, who has repeatedly said that caste census is necessary for social justice.
The Congress has asked all the State Congress Committees (PCCs) to appoint monitoring teams and supervisors at the state and district level. By May 30, chaupals, rallies and household contact campaigns will be conducted in every assembly constituency, ensuring participation of social workers, teachers, lawyers, shopkeepers and SHG members. In this, the role of Congress and Rahul Gandhi’s leadership should be reached to the public. Also, expose the anti -caste calculations of BJP.
Strategy on social media
Press conference and media briefing should be done in every assembly constituency, which should be the responsibility of the AICC Department of Communications. Party workers, young leaders and representatives should be active on social media and highlight the Congress’ leadership, leadership of Rahul Gandhi, and BJP’s deprived anti -policies. This entire campaign should be run under an organized and dedicated strategy and the weekly report of every activity should be sent to AICC.
Explain that the Constitution Bachao rally campaign organized at the national level will start from Bilaspur on 8 May in Chhattisgarh. After the state level rally, the Constitution Bachao rally will be organized in all the district headquarters and assembly constituencies, in which Congress workers will spread awareness on the Constitution Save Campaign from door to door.
On Saturday, a big meeting was held at Rajiv Bhavan regarding the Constitution Rescue rally. State Congress President Deepak Badge said that the Health Nyaya Yatra was taken out in Bilaspur on the previous day. Now the Congress will take the Constitution Save the campaign from door to door.
