Teachers' guidance and public service are the only way to achieve comprehensive development of society and nation - Minister Shri Tank Ram Verma. Raipur, 08 September 2026 / Revenue and Higher Education Minister Shri Tank Ram Verma attended the teacher honor ceremony organized at P.M. Shri Kanya Shala in Neura. He paid tribute to the personality and works of former President and great philosopher Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, stating that gurus not only provide education but also instill life values. Guru guidance is essential for the holistic development of mind and intellect. From ancient times to the modern era, whenever society or the nation faced challenges, gurus have shown the right direction. Discussing development works in Baludabazar assembly constituency, he said basic facilities such as sheds, boundary walls, electricity and drinking water have been provided in government schools. Respect for gurus is the foundation of our rich cultural tradition. Recalling the teacher honor ceremony and meeting his gurus, Minister Verma said respect for gurus is the cornerstone of our cultural heritage. Earlier, teachers played a central role in dispute resolution and social and cultural events in rural areas. Although busyness has increased in the current technological age, giving time to society can further strengthen rural arrangements. Automatic name transfer process will start immediately after registration. During this, Minister Verma explained revolutionary decisions to improve the revenue department's image. He said authority has been extended to tehsildars for quick settlement of errors when shifting from manual to online records, and the right to hear second appeals has been transferred from the commissioner directly to the district collector. A ban has been placed on purchase‑sale of land less than 5 decimals to prevent illegal colonies, while to stop fake registrations, tehsil offices have been linked online with the registration office and OTP is made mandatory at registration. Now, automatic name transfer will begin right after registration and farmers can download the farmer booklet online without visiting offices. Landowners can distribute land only during their lifetime. In large projects like Bharatmala, a notification prohibits purchase‑sale in the concerned area as soon as it is issued to prevent illegal land mafias and ensure transparent compensation to genuine farmers. Regarding the Higher Education Department, he said the National Education Policy (NEP) is being implemented to directly link education with employment. He announced ₹2 crore for lighting in 40 villages, construction of solid pigeonholes in ponds of 100 villages, building mother‑care centres in 40 villages and approval of buildings for institutions such as Saraswati Shishu Temple. He reiterated that senior officials and gurus will always provide supreme guidance in these public service initiatives.
