Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai inaugurated development projects worth 96 crore rupees and laid the foundation for projects worth 90 crore rupees in Sarangarh, under the Sarangarh-Bilaigarh district. This event, held at the Government Lochan Prasad Pandey College campus in Sarangarh, brought a total of 186 crore rupees in development projects to the district. Furthermore, CM Sai announced various initiatives worth 13.40 crore rupees to expand public amenities across the district.
He emphasized the government’s commitment to fulfilling Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s guarantees. The government is purchasing paddy from farmers at a rate of 3,100 rupees per quintal, with a procurement target of 21 quintals per acre. Additionally, 18 lakh houses under the Prime Minister’s Housing Scheme have been approved, with construction underway at a rapid pace, leading to shortages of masons and centering plates in villages.
CM Sai highlighted the economic support provided to 70 lakh women through the Mahtari Vandan Yojana. Women are utilizing the monthly financial assistance to start their own businesses. The women of Dansara in Sarangarh district have initiated the construction of a Ram temple with the Mahtari Vandan funds, a project now widely recognized. The prices of tendu leaves have been increased, and 5.62 lakh landless agricultural laborers are receiving 10,000 rupees each. Moreover, 22,000 devotees have visited Ayodhya Dham for the darshan of Lord Ram under the Shri Ramlala Darshan Yojana.
Revenue and District in-charge Minister Tankram Verma noted that the government has been working to accelerate development across rural and urban areas in the state over the past one and a half years. He stated that the allocation of crores of rupees for development in the Sarangarh-Bilaigarh district would enhance public amenities.
Member of Parliament Radheshyam Rathia mentioned that development projects and infrastructure expansion are being expedited in the Sarangarh-Bilaigarh district. Priority is being given to basic amenities like roads, education, health, and projects such as the PM Awas Yojana.
Jagdalpur MLA Kiran Dev remarked that under the leadership of Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, development projects are reaching new heights in the state, while also implementing Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s public welfare initiatives. The 186 crore rupee package for Sarangarh-Bilaigarh district will strengthen infrastructure development.
Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai also announced specific development projects: 5 crore rupees for the construction of a Gaurav Path from Bharat Mata Chowk to Kosir Chowk, 1 crore rupees for the construction of a garden in the Sarangarh municipality, 3 crore rupees for the construction of a building for the PG College in Sarangarh, 2.5 crore rupees for the renovation of the indoor stadium in Sarangarh, 1 crore rupees for the repair of the boys’ hostel in Sarangarh, 40 lakh rupees for the construction of rooms for patients in the new district hospital, and 50 lakh rupees for the expansion of facilities at the Sarangarh bus stand.
Chhattisgarh Housing Board Chairman Anurag Singhdev and other dignitaries, officials, and prominent citizens were present at the event.
