Raipur, A waving tricolor in hand, cheers of Bharat Mata ki Jai, patriotic songs and the enthusiasm of thousands of citizens filled with national love - the capital Raipur was completely painted in the colors of the tricolor today. Thousands of citizens united under the national flag in the grand Tiranga Yatra that started from Balbir Singh Juneja Indoor Stadium to Subhash Stadium. Chief Minister Mr. Vishnu Deo Sai himself held the tricolor and walked shoulder to shoulder with the crowd. The enthusiasm of youth, women, children, elderly, ex-servicemen, and people from various social strata was palpable in the procession. The nearly one-kilometer-long tricolor held by school students was a special attraction of the entire event.
An amazing atmosphere of patriotism was visible in the capital from the beginning to the end of the Tiranga Yatra. Thousands of national flags waving simultaneously in thousands of hands and cheers of Bharat Mata ki Jai filled the entire route with a sense of national love. CM Mr. Sai also walked along with the citizens, carrying the tricolor. During this, a special enthusiasm was seen among the citizens to walk with the Chief Minister and be a part of this procession organized in honor of the national flag. Addressing the occasion, Chief Minister Mr. Sai said that the tricolor is our pride, honor, and glory. It is not just our national flag, but a symbol of India's unity, integrity, self-respect, and countless sacrifices. The tricolor has the incredible power to unite 140 crore Indians into one thread. Despite diversity in languages, cultures, traditions, and regions, the tricolor connects us all with the shared pride of being Indian.
CM said that when the tricolor waves, a natural sense of pride and respect for the nation awakens in the heart of every Indian. Our national flag is a witness to the struggle of the freedom movement, the sacrifices of the freedom fighters, and India's journey as a strong nation. The tricolor reminds us of our duties towards the nation along with our rights. He said that on the call of Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi, the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign has now taken the form of a widespread public movement. This campaign has strengthened the spirit of patriotism and national pride by bringing the tricolor to every household. The Chief Minister appealed to the people of the state to hoist the tricolor with full respect and pride at their homes on the occasion of Independence Day and to make this festival of national unity even grander by joining Tiranga Yatras.
CM Mr. Sai said that the independent India in which we live with pride and respect today was not easily attained. Behind it lies the struggle, sacrifice, penance, and martyrdom of millions of countrymen. Countless brave sons of the country have sacrificed their all to free the motherland from the chains of subjugation. He said that people from every region and society contributed to the freedom movement. Some dedicated their lives, some left their homes and families, and many brave souls sacrificed their lives smiling for the motherland. It is because of these sacrifices that we are able to experience the glory of freedom and democracy today.
CM said that today's new generation is born and growing up in independent India. Therefore, it is essential for them to know how precious freedom is and how great the struggle of our ancestors was for it. Only by becoming familiar with the tales of bravery of the freedom fighters will the new generation understand the true value of freedom. He said that the tricolor reminds us of the sacrifices of all those known and unknown fighters who sacrificed their all for the nation. It is our collective responsibility to pass on this glorious heritage of freedom to the new generation. This will further strengthen the spirit of duty, dedication, service, and ‘Nation First’ among the youth.
‘Brave Sons of Chhattisgarh Wrote Tales of Bravery in the Freedom Struggle’ Recalling the great heroes of Chhattisgarh's freedom struggle, CM Mr. Sai said that the land of Chhattisgarh has also been a land of brave warriors, जननायकों (leaders of the people), and martyrs. In the struggle for the country's freedom, many brave sons of Chhattisgarh displayed immense courage and self-respect. Remembering martyr Veer Narayan Singh, the Chief Minister said that he raised his voice for the welfare of the poor and needy in difficult circumstances and struggled against the injustice of the British rule. His life teaches us that along with patriotism, public service and the courage to stand against injustice are also forms of true patriotism. Recalling the tale of bravery of the great leader of Bastar, Gunda Dhur, CM Mr. Sai said that he sounded the bugle of struggle by organizing the tribal society against foreign rule. The land of Bastar has always struggled for the protection of its self-respect, culture, and rights. The courage and leadership of Gunda Dhur are still a matter of pride and inspiration for the people of Chhattisgarh. He said that the struggle of Chhattisgarh's many known and unknown fighters, including martyr Veer Narayan Singh and Gunda Dhur, is an integral part of our glorious history. It is our duty to convey the tales of bravery of these great heroes to the new generation and familiarize the youth with their ideals. ‘Tricolor will wave with peace and development in changing Bastar’ CM Mr. Sai said that Bastar is now leaving behind a long period of violence and fear and is rapidly moving towards a new direction of peace, trust, and development. With the strong will of the double-engine government, the immense courage of the security forces, and the cooperation of the local people, the fight against Naxalism has reached a decisive stage. He said that in areas of Bastar where there was an atmosphere of fear due to Naxal violence, new light of development is now reaching there. With the expansion of roads, education, health, and other basic facilities, people's faith in governance and the democratic system has strengthened. The government is continuously working to connect the aspirations and dreams of the people of Bastar with the mainstream of development. CM said that the identity of changing Bastar is now being formed not by violence, but by peace, development, trust, and new possibilities. This year, the auspicious festival of Independence Day will be celebrated with full enthusiasm and joy in Bastar as well, and Tiranga Yatras will be taken out.
