CM Helpline complaint prompts Mineral Department's strict action, six tractors seized in illegal sand and gravel transport. Raipur, an additional effective example of the ongoing swift and effective redressal of complaints received at the CM Helpline has emerged. According to the instructions of the newly appointed collector Mr. Vijay Dayaram in the Gaurala Pendra Marwahi district, the district mineral department, while conducting a special campaign against illegal mineral transport, seized six tractors involved in the illegal transport of sand and gravel. This action was taken after immediate investigation based on a complaint received through the CM Helpline (toll free number 1076). According to the information received, as soon as the complaint was received the collector directed the district mineral department to conduct a rapid investigation and take necessary action. Following the directions, the district mineral flight team carried out an intensive investigation campaign across various parts of the district. During this, three tractors loaded with sand from the Kolbira and Rumga areas, two tractors loaded with sand from the Khanta and Piparia areas, and one tractor loaded with gravel from the Sadhavani area were caught transporting illegally. All six vehicles were seized on the spot and action was taken as per regulations. The mineral department has filed cases against the owners of the vehicles under the Minerals (Development and Regulation) Act. The department clarified that the seized vehicles will be released only after the prescribed fine and settlement amount are deposited in the mineral fund. Collector Mr. Vijay Dayaram has instructed officials that every complaint received through the CM Helpline should be resolved with quality, transparency and timeliness. He also directed that continuous effective action be taken against illegal mineral extraction and transport so that the conservation of natural resources and the state's revenue interests are protected. It is noteworthy that the district administration is maintaining continuous monitoring for effective control of illegal mineral extraction and transport. The administration has appealed to citizens to inform the CM Helpline or the concerned department if they become aware of illegal mineral activities, so that immediate action can be taken and effective compliance with regulations ensured. This action saw active participation of Assistant Mining Officer Mr. Aditya Mankar, Mining Inspector Mr. Sujit Kanwar, Mineral Soldier Mr. Shivkumar Lahare and City Soldier Mr. Satish Sahu.
