CIMS Bilaspur Hospital Responds to Electrical Fire, Initiates Wiring Overhaul

The fire that broke out in the electrical panel of CIMS Bilaspur on Wednesday prompted an immediate review of the institute's power infrastructure. According to the medical superintendent, the fire originated from a short circuit in the panel located close to the kitchen area.

Hospital officials have now ordered the Public Works Department to replace outdated wiring across the campus and to strengthen the fire‑safety systems. All critical equipment, especially in the ICU and other high‑dependency zones, will undergo rigorous inspection before power is fully restored.
