A popular, multicoloured ice candy favored by kids has been removed from shelves in Bastar after safety officials classified it as hazardous. The product, known for its mango taste and vibrant packaging, failed to meet the required food safety standards during laboratory testing.

The department ordered a district‑wide recall, directing vendors to stop all sales and to return any unsold units for proper destruction.

Failure to comply will result in enforcement action against the responsible parties. The move underscores growing scrutiny over snack items marketed to children and highlights the need for stricter quality checks.
