Raipur January 2, 2026/ Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai paid humble homage to late Smt. Savitribai Phule, India’s first female teacher, great social reformer, and pioneer of women’s empowerment, on her birth anniversary (January 3).
Chief Minister Shri Sai said that Savitribai Phule ignited the flame of women’s education in an era when many social evils and restrictions prevailed in society. She not only inspired women to get educated but also fought throughout her life to secure the right to education for them by coming forward herself. Her struggle against untouchability, gender discrimination, and social inequalities is a unique symbol of courage, determination, and social consciousness.
Chief Minister Shri Sai said that Savitribai Phule’s contribution in the field of women’s rights, equality, and education is invaluable and unforgettable. Her thoughts and actions continue to inspire society towards a progressive direction. He urged the youth to draw inspiration from Savitribai Phule’s life and assimilate the values of education, equality, and social justice in their lives.
