Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai instructs to expedite relief and rescue operations in heavy rainfall affected areas: Instructions to deliver relief materials and essential aid to affected families without delay
Raipur, July 18, 2026/ Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai, taking seriously the situation of excessive rainfall and waterlogging in Bilaspur and Janjgir-Champa districts, has instructed that no laxity should be shown in relief and rescue operations in the affected areas. The Chief Minister said that the district administration should work with full alertness and promptness to ensure timely relief and essential assistance reaches every affected and needy person.
The Chief Minister has directed officials to provide relief materials, food, drinking water, medical facilities, and all other necessary amenities in the affected areas without any delay. Along with this, effective utilization of all available resources should be ensured for prompt drainage arrangements, speedy restoration of damaged roads, and quick normalization of public facilities.
Chief Minister Shri Sai said that the state government is continuously monitoring the situation and the affected areas are being continuously monitored. Additional resources and assistance will also be provided immediately as per the need, so that there is no obstacle in relief work.
The Chief Minister said that the safety of the state's residents and timely delivery of relief to every affected family is the top priority of the state government. The state government stands with the affected citizens with full sensitivity, promptness, and commitment, and all possible efforts are being made to restore normal life quickly.
