Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai's sensitive governance, transparent system and public participation are strengthening public trust. The initiative to deliver government schemes to the ultimate beneficiary is realizing the resolve of a developing Chhattisgarh. Special article. Raipur – The real power of democracy is the people's trust and good governance is the most effective means to strengthen that trust. When government schemes reach the final person, problems are solved in a timely manner and citizens do not have to wander unnecessarily for their rights and services, making good governance meaningful. In Chhattisgarh, under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai, a sensitive, transparent and people‑oriented administration is being prioritized. Following Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s mantra “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayas”, the state government is continuously working to bring the benefits of welfare schemes to the last person in society. Efforts to make governance simpler, more accessible and accountable are creating a new environment of dialogue and trust between administration and citizens. Good governance first requires listening to citizens and taking effective action to solve their problems. The Chief Minister has placed resolution of public issues among the top priorities, allowing citizens to directly present their problems, complaints and suggestions to the administration. District and development block level grievance redressal camps are also bringing the administration closer to people, providing information on various department services and schemes, benefitting eligible beneficiaries and addressing received applications. Digital good governance is making government services easier. Technology has become a strong foundation of good governance. In Chhattisgarh, digital means are being used to make government services more accessible, transparent and timely. Through the Seva Setu portal and digital service centres, citizens can apply for various departmental services and obtain process information, especially helping rural and remote citizens access services. Digital systems aim not only at online applications but also at increasing transparency in administrative processes, reducing unnecessary delays and providing citizens with status updates, thereby strengthening the trust relationship between government and people. Delivering scheme benefits to the ultimate beneficiary is the highest priority. Under the Chief Minister’s leadership, the state government is giving special priority to the welfare of the poor, farmers, women, youth, laborers and tribal communities. The Mahatari Vandan scheme provides regular financial assistance to women for household needs, children’s education, health and small savings. The Prime Minister’s Housing Scheme is working to realize the dream of a solid house for needy families. Schemes for farmers, health security, food security and rural livelihood are also becoming the basis of economic and social security for citizens. The real success of these schemes is seen in families whose needs are met and who get the opportunity to move towards a better future. Grievance redressal leads to accountable administration. Good governance means not only implementing schemes but also listening seriously to citizens’ complaints and ensuring their resolution. The CM helpline 1076 allows citizens to register complaints and check their status. In urban areas, Nidaan‑1100 addresses complaints related to cleanliness, drinking water, lighting and other civic amenities, ensuring transparency and accountability in grievance handling. When citizens can register problems and track progress, their confidence in the administration strengthens. From villages to cities, development for all sections is pursued. A large proportion of Chhattisgarh’s population lives in rural and tribal areas, making the reach of education, health, drinking water, roads, electricity and other essential services to remote areas the key to good governance success. The state government is working to make development more inclusive through rural development, tribal welfare, women empowerment and livelihood enhancement schemes, especially expanding basic facilities and empowering local communities in regions like Bastar and Surguja. Good governance is truly recognized when citizens in remote villages receive the same respect, facilities and opportunities as those in cities. Public participation strengthens the resolve of good governance. On the occasion of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 25 years of public life, Chhattisgarh organized a Service Commitment Campaign from 17 September to 17 October 2026, featuring initiatives such as Seva Setu, Service Stories, My Contribution to Service and Good Governance Service Dialogue, encouraging citizens to connect with government services, welfare schemes and social responsibilities. Good governance is strengthened not only by government efforts but also by active participation of aware citizens. Citizens’ suggestions, social cooperation and participation in public‑interest work make development more effective. Good governance’s real meaning is a positive change in every citizen’s life. Under the Chief Minister’s leadership, Chhattisgarh is working to link good governance with public service, sensitivity and accountability. The effectiveness of schemes, timely grievance resolution and citizen satisfaction will be the true test of these efforts. The aim is to create a system where the poor receive respect, farmers receive support, women receive security, youth receive opportunities and every citizen receives fair and simple government services. Reducing the distance between government and people means not only easier access to offices but also creating in citizens’ minds the belief that the government is sensitive to their problems and committed to solving them. This trust is the greatest capital of democracy. Based on this trust, public participation and sensitive administration, Chhattisgarh is moving towards becoming a developed state. Good governance leads to trust, trust leads to public participation and public participation leads to a developed Chhattisgarh – the strong foundation of inclusive development.
