Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sahay congratulated mountaineer Amita Shriwas who conquered Mount Everest. Amita's achievement is a matter of pride for the entire Chhattisgarh and the nation, an inspiration for youth and daughters – Chief Minister Shri Sahay. Raipur, today Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sahay received a courtesy meeting from the promising mountaineer Ms. Amita Shriwas of Janjgir-Champa district. Chief Minister Shri Sahay congratulated Amita Shriwas, who made history by hoisting the tricolor on the world’s highest peak, Mount Everest, and extended heartfelt congratulations and best wishes for this historic achievement. The MLA Mrs. Gomti Sahay was present on the occasion. Chief Minister Shri Sahay said that Amita Shriwas, through her courage, indomitable will, discipline and steadfast determination, hoisted India’s tricolor on the world’s highest peak, enhancing not only Chhattisgarh’s but also the nation’s pride. Her achievement is a great source of pride and honor for the state. The Chief Minister said that despite limited resources and difficult circumstances, dedication and continuous effort can achieve seemingly impossible goals. Amita Shriwas’s success is a powerful example of inspiration for the state’s youth, especially daughters. It is noteworthy that mountaineer Amita Shriwas from Janjgir-Champa district, on May 22, hoisted the tricolor at an altitude of 8,848.86 metres, the world’s highest peak Mount Everest, raising the pride of Chhattisgarh and the country.
