Raipur / Chief Minister Shri Vishnudeo Sai was paid a courtesy call today at Mantralaya Mahanadi Bhawan by Shri Triyambak Sharma, editor of Cartoon Watch. On this occasion, he gave detailed information to Chief Minister Shri Sai about the cartoon exhibition and training workshop organized under the 'Muskurata Bastar' campaign in Bastar and also presented a souvenir based on this innovative initiative.
Appreciating this unique initiative, Chief Minister Shri Vishnudeo Sai said that art is an effective medium for connecting society and building the personality of the new generation. Cartoons are not just a medium of entertainment, but a powerful art form for expressing ideas in a simple, easy, and impactful way. He said that if children are provided opportunities for creative expression from an early stage, it develops their self-confidence, sensitivity, logical thinking, and positive outlook. He said that along with education, activities like art, literature, sports, and culture are equally essential for the all-round development of children. He expressed hope that such events will continue to be organized in various parts of the state in the future, giving more and more students an opportunity to showcase their talent.
It is noteworthy that under the 'Muskurata Bastar' campaign, a special cartoon training workshop was organized by the Public Relations Department and Cartoon Watch for about 100 students from various government schools in the Bastar region, including Jagdalpur. In this workshop, renowned cartoonists from the country familiarized the children with the nuances of cartoon art, drawing, expression of satire, visual communication, and various dimensions of creative thinking. During the training, children were inspired to express their imagination through pictures and develop a positive outlook on social issues.
