Chief Minister Pilgrimage Tour Scheme: Minister Mrs. Lakshmi Rajwadi Hoisted the Green Flag for the Bharat Gaurav Tourist Train. Pilgrims departing from Raipur will visit Shirdi, Shani Shinganapur and Trimbakeshwar. The state government is honoring the faith of senior citizens and their desire for pilgrimage: Minister Mrs. Rajwadi. Raipur, under the Chief Minister Pilgrimage Tour Scheme, today the Bharat Gaurav Tourist Train carrying pilgrims departed from Raipur Railway Station. Women and Child Development and Social Welfare Minister Mrs. Lakshmi Rajwadi gave the train a green flag. She had a warm conversation with the travelers and wished them a pleasant, safe and auspicious journey. The tour is organized from 28 September to 1 October 2026. During this period, devotees will visit Sai Baba in Shirdi, Shani Dev at Shani Shinganapur and the Jyotirlinga at Trimbakeshwar in Maharashtra. Before departure, enthusiasm was seen among the pilgrims at Raipur Railway Station. Minister Mrs. Rajwadi said that the Chief Minister Pilgrimage Tour Scheme is a special opportunity for senior citizens who have long desired a pilgrimage but cannot travel due to various circumstances. She said that pilgrimage is an experience of faith and cultural connection. The state government’s effort is to enable eligible beneficiaries to visit pilgrimage sites in a comfortable and safe environment with necessary facilities. Through the Chief Minister Pilgrimage Tour Scheme run by the Social Welfare Department, senior citizens of the state and other eligible beneficiaries are provided an opportunity to travel to major pilgrimage sites. Minister Mrs. Rajwadi urged travelers to take care during the journey and enjoy the opportunity. On the occasion of the departure, officials and staff of the Social Welfare Department and the railways, public representatives and distinguished citizens were present.
