Chhattisgarh's 'Har Ghar Tiranga' and 'Vande Mataram' campaigns create a buzz

From August 7 to 17, state-level patriotism programs will be organized. In Raipur, the nationwide 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign is being observed from August 9 to 17, 2026. This year the celebration is dedicated to the 150th anniversary of 'Vande Mataram', enhancing the patriotic atmosphere. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sahu, the Independence Festival in Chhattisgarh is set to become a widespread people’s movement of participation and national pride. The Culture Department, following central government guidelines, will conduct a grand program across the state from August 7 to 17, including the 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign, 'Vande Mataram' singing and various cultural and patriotic events. From August 9 to 17, the 'Har Ghar Tiranga' and from August 7 to 15, 'Vande Mataram' singing will take place. According to the Culture Department, the 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign will be run in all districts from August 9 to 17, 2026, while 'Vande Mataram' singing and related cultural activities will be organized from August 7 to 15. On August 15, after the flag hoisting, a large-scale collective National Anthem and Vande Mataram singing will be held across the state. Flag tours, rallies and marathons: During the campaign, flag tours, bike and car rallies, torch rallies and Tiranga marathons will be organized in all district headquarters, development blocks, gram panchayats and educational institutions. Representatives, self‑help groups, police, NCC, NSS, Scouts‑Guides and citizens will actively participate. Tiranga selfies, concerts and audio‑video booths: Citizens can take selfies with the flag at their homes and upload them on the 'Har Ghar Tiranga' portal. Flag canvases, fairs and patriotic concerts will be held at public places, promoting local indigenous products and artisans. Audio and video booths will be set up across the state where citizens can record and upload their own Vande Mataram renditions. On August 14, a 'Partition Martyrdom Remembrance Day' will be observed. Special exhibitions will be displayed to remember the sacrifices of the Partition and the freedom struggle. The state police band will present musical performances of patriotic songs at public venues.
