Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai attended the housewarming ceremony of the new official residence of Revenue Minister Shri Tankaram Verma on the auspicious occasion of Hareli.

Raipur, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai today participated in the housewarming ceremony and Hareli festival organized at the new official residence of Revenue Minister Shri Tankaram Verma in Nava Raipur on the auspicious occasion of Hareli festival. Chief Minister congratulated Shri Verma and his family on entering the new residence and wished them a happy, prosperous, and auspicious life. He also extended greetings to the present public representatives and citizens on Hareli, the first folk festival of Chhattisgarh. Speaker of the Assembly Dr. Raman Singh was specially present on this occasion.
Chief Minister Shri Sai said that the housewarming of Revenue Minister Shri Tankaram Verma in his new official residence on an auspicious occasion like Hareli makes this occasion even more special. Hareli is a festival deeply connected with our agricultural culture, nature, and rural life. On this day, farmers express gratitude to nature by worshiping agricultural tools and cattle, and wish for good rain, abundant harvest, and family happiness. This festival is a symbol of Chhattisgarh's rich tradition, where nature, farming, and folk life are deeply intertwined.

Chief Minister Shri Sai said that agriculture is the strong foundation of Chhattisgarh's economy and rural life. Farmers are the axis of the state's progress, and Chhattisgarh's prosperity lies in their prosperity. The state government is continuously working to increase farmers' income, make farming profitable, and expand new possibilities in the agricultural sector.
He said that ensuring better prices for farmers' produce is a priority for the government. In the state, paddy is being purchased from farmers at the rate of Rs 3,100 per quintal, up to 21 quintals per acre. This has strengthened the economic condition of farmer families and given new momentum to the rural economy.
Chief Minister Shri Sai said that the expansion of irrigation facilities is also being rapidly undertaken to increase agricultural productivity. Our effort is to provide assured irrigation facilities to the maximum possible agricultural land, so that farmers can reduce their dependence on rain and achieve better production.
Chief Minister Shri Sai said that to increase farmers' income, emphasis is being placed on connecting them with allied and income-generating activities related to agriculture, rather than being limited to traditional farming. He said that the double-engine government at the center and state is encouraging farmers through various schemes for modern agricultural technology, irrigation, agricultural mechanization, and other income-generating activities.
He said that if farmers become economically strong, villages will become strong, and if villages become strong, the pace of building a developed Chhattisgarh will accelerate. The interest of the अन्नदाता (giver of food) is at the center of the government's policies, and work is being carried out in a planned manner to make farming more prosperous and profitable.
Hareli marks the beginning of the festival season in Chhattisgarh: Dr. Raman Singh
Speaker of the Assembly Dr. Raman Singh, while extending greetings to the people of the state on Hareli festival, said that Hareli is an important festival of Chhattisgarh's folk culture and agricultural tradition. With Hareli, the joyful festival season begins in the state. Today, the whole of Chhattisgarh is colored in the spirit of Hareli.
