Nitin Namdev, Raipur. The Chhattisgarh Waqf Board has become the first such Waqf Board in the country, which will now take the rent of Waqf property online. While issuing instructions in this regard, Dr. Salim Raj, Chairman of Chhattisgarh Waqf Board, said that this decision has been taken to eliminate middlemen between Waqf’s property and Waqf Board. Under this decision, the account of mosques of all the districts of the state has been opened online.
He told that according to the new instruction, all the tenants who are the tenants, how to pay, what will be used for his given rent, it has also been told. Salim Raj said that till now even Rs 5 lakh was not available to the Chhattisgarh Waqf Board. But now the online system is expected to get fare in hundreds and crores. If the income of the Waqf Board increases, then the poor and needy Muslims will be uplifted.
