Chhattisgarh Government Announces Revised Bus Fares with Disability Discounts

RAYPUR — A new fare matrix for Chhattisgarh's public buses has been officially announced, covering ordinary, deluxe, air‑conditioned super‑luxury, half‑sleeper and sleeper buses. The rates are based on a five‑kilometre base fare followed by a per‑kilometre charge.

Ordinary buses: ₹10 for the first five kilometres, then ₹1.75 per kilometre. Deluxe buses: ₹12 for the first five kilometres, then ₹2.20 per kilometre. AC super‑luxury buses: ₹12 for the first five kilometres, then ₹3.30 per kilometre. Half‑sleeper seats: ₹3 per passenger per seat. Sleeper berths: ₹3.30 per passenger per berth.

The policy also provides a 50 % discount for eligible disabled travelers and a 100 % waiver for categories specified under the free‑travel scheme. Commuters are urged to verify the applicable rate for their chosen bus class and travel distance before boarding.
