Chhattisgarh becomes ‘High Performer’ state in LEADS 2025, common people and industries to benefit Positive impact of good governance, strong connectivity and public welfare schemes visible: Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai Raipur, May 13, 2026/Chhattisgarh has achieved another major milestone in the direction of development and good governance. Chhattisgarh has been awarded the status of ‘High Performer’ state in the LEADS 2025 report released by the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Government of India. This achievement is due to better roads, transport, trade facilitation and a robust logistics system in the state, which is directly benefiting the general public, farmers, traders, and youth. Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai said that the state government's aim is not just industrial development, but to make the lives of common people easier. With better road and transport systems, farmers' produce is reaching the market faster, trade is gaining momentum, and new employment opportunities are being created for the youth. Chief Minister Shri Sai said that investment is increasing in Chhattisgarh due to good governance, transparency, and a fast decision-making process. The state government is continuously working on strengthening connectivity from villages to cities, increasing warehousing facilities, and creating a better environment for industries. This is giving new strength to the state's economy. Industries Minister Shri Lakhan Lal Dewangan said that the logistics and transport system in the state is being modernized. This is benefiting industries as well as small traders, farmers, and local entrepreneurs. It is noteworthy that under the Logistics Policy 2025 implemented by the state government, several steps have been taken to reduce transportation costs, speed up goods transport, and attract investment. Granting industry status to the logistics and warehousing sector is creating new possibilities for employment and investment. The City Logistics Plan prepared for Raipur will reduce traffic pressure in the city and make goods transport more organized. Through the OneClick Single Window Portal, the approval process for industries has been simplified, providing investors with faster facilities. Secretary, Commerce and Industries Department, Shri Rajat Kumar said that Chhattisgarh is rapidly developing a modern and technology-enabled logistics system. This is giving new momentum to trade, industry, and employment in the state. He said that this achievement is giving Chhattisgarh a new identity as an emerging industrial and investment hub in the country. Overall, this recognition as a ‘High Performer’ state in LEADS 2025 is not just a ranking, but a national-level acceptance of Chhattisgarh's rapidly developing infrastructure, good governance, and people-centric development model. With better roads, a strong transport system, increasing investment, and new employment opportunities, Chhattisgarh is now setting a new direction for development by focusing on the convenience and economic prosperity of the common people.
