The Chhattisgarh police have solved a gruesome murder mystery that began with the discovery of a headless body on a railway track. The victim, identified as Gas Kumar Joshi, was allegedly murdered by professional hitmen at the behest of his wife, Kusum. During the interrogation, Kusum confessed to the crime, alleging that her husband had been subjecting her to unnatural sexual demands and extreme physical abuse for a long time. Unable to bear the torture, she sought help from her maternal uncle, Rajesh Bharti, who arranged for two contract killers, Darasingh and Karan Anant, for a sum of Rs 40,000. The victim was lured to a village under the pretext of a family visit, where he was heavily intoxicated before being attacked. After being beaten unconscious, he was taken to a secluded spot near the railway line where the killers used a sword to decapitate him. The accused then split the body parts, disposing of the head and torso in different locations to complicate the police investigation.
