Investments Soar in Chhattisgarh as New Industries Take Root
Following the meeting with Prime Minister Modi, Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai announced that the implementation of the Industrial Development Policy 2024‑30 has attracted investment proposals worth approximately ₹8 lakh crore. The state is witnessing a wave of first‑time projects, including an AI data‑center park, a semiconductor manufacturing unit, a hyper‑scale data centre, global BPO operations, garment and chocolate factories, electronic equipment plants, and intra‑ocular lens production facilities. Sai credited a business‑friendly regulatory environment—recognised by the NITI Aayog Investment Friendliness Index as the top in the country—for this surge. He also highlighted the recently enacted "Ease of Doing Business Act‑2026," the nation's pioneering law that provides risk‑based regulation, self‑certification and time‑bound approvals, further simplifying the investment climate.
