Chhattisgarh government to give Rs 5 crore to assist Assam flood victims

Chhattisgarh government will give Rs 5 crore to assist flood-affected people in Assam. Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sahay discussed over telephone with Assam Chief Minister Shri Himanta Biswa Sarma. In this hour of crisis, Chhattisgarh stands in full solidarity with the brothers and sisters of Assam: Chief Minister Shri Sahay. Raipur, amidst the severe conditions caused by floods in Assam, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sahay, with humanitarian compassion and a spirit of inter-state cooperation, has decided to provide assistance of Rs 5 crore from the Chhattisgarh government to help flood-affected people. This amount will be provided to support relief and rehabilitation work ongoing in Assam. Chief Minister Shri Sahay today spoke over telephone with Assam Chief Minister Shri Himanta Biswa Sarma to get information about the flood-induced conditions in the state. He expressed deep sympathy for the families affected by the flood and said that in this difficult hour of natural disaster, the people of Chhattisgarh stand in full solidarity with their brothers and sisters of Assam.
