Government is writing a new chapter of good governance, development, and trust in Chhattisgarh: Chief Minister Shri Sai

Raipur, July 17, 2026/ Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai, while replying to the discussion on the no-confidence motion brought by the opposition in the Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly, said that this motion is not against the government, but against the trust and mandate of the three crore people of the state. He said that in the 2023 assembly elections, Lok Sabha elections, and urban body elections, the public has expressed its unwavering faith in development, good governance, and Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi's guarantees. The Chief Minister said that in the last two and a half years, the state government has worked to implement most of the promises made to the public and Modi's guarantees on the ground. He said that the achievements of the government are proof of its working style and public trust.

The Chief Minister said that the government has given top priority to the welfare of farmers, women, the poor, the youth, tribals, and every section of society. The procurement of paddy at Rs 3100 per quintal, payment of bonus arrears for two years, honorarium of more than Rs 18,800 crore to about 70 lakh women through the Mahtari Vandan Yojana, and effective implementation of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana for poor families are proof of the government's commitment.

The Chief Minister said that the state government has given a new direction to the economic and social empowerment of women. Along with the Mahtari Vandan Yojana, more than 10.40 lakh women have become 'Lakhpati Didis'. To strengthen women's property rights, a 50 percent concession in registry fees and a 1 percent concession in stamp duty have been given. He said that self-help groups have been provided with new employment opportunities, and the blessings of women are the greatest strength of the government.

The Chief Minister said that many decisions have been taken for the prosperity of farmers, including record paddy procurement, Krishak Unnati Yojana, agricultural loans at zero percent interest, crop diversification, adequate availability of fertilizers, and expansion of irrigation capacity. He informed that record administrative sanctions have been given for water resource projects, and irrigation capacity has increased significantly.

Chief Minister Shri Sai said that the government has taken many historic decisions for the development of the tribal society. The remuneration of tendu leaf collectors has been increased, the Charanpaduka Yojana has been restarted, and decisions have been taken to provide relief to Van Adhikar Patradharis. Through the Dharti Aaba Janjati Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan and Pradhan Mantri Janman Yojana, road, electricity, drinking water, housing, and health facilities are being provided to thousands of tribal villages and particularly vulnerable tribal families. The expansion of the Tribal Youth Hostel in Delhi, hosting of the Khelo India Tribal Games, and initiatives like the Tribal Museum and Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh Memorial are also among the government's priorities.

The Chief Minister said that the state government has achieved historic success in strengthening law and order and eradicating Naxalism. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and the guidance of Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah, a new atmosphere of peace has been created in the state through a strategy of security, development, and public trust. The Police Commissionerate system has been implemented in Raipur, and new cyber police stations are being established to prevent cybercrimes.

The Chief Minister said that providing more opportunities for employment, education, and skill development to the youth is a priority of the government.

Chief Minister Shri Sai said that due to the new industrial policy, the investment environment in the state has strengthened. Investment proposals worth more than Rs 8.23 lakh crore have been received through investment summits organized in India and abroad, which will create lakhs of jobs. The state is rapidly progressing in the fields of textiles, semiconductors, artificial intelligence, AI-SEZs, data center parks, and electronics manufacturing.

The Chief Minister said that in the energy sector, the government has given special attention to production, transmission, distribution, and the expansion of renewable energy. More than 76,000 solar plants have been installed in homes under the Pradhan Mantri Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana, and more than 12 lakh consumers have been relieved through the Chief Minister's electricity bill solution scheme. Energization of farmers' irrigation pumps has been done on a large scale, and the state has secured the first position in the country in terms of plant load factor. Work is also progressing rapidly on new thermal power projects, pump storage, and solar energy projects.

Chief Minister Shri Sai said that the transparent use of mineral resources and the effective operation of the District Mineral Foundation Fund have given new momentum to the state's development. Along with earning record mineral revenue, Khanij Online 2.0 and DMF Portal 2.0 have been implemented. More than 82,000 development works have been completed, and a transparent and accountable system has been established through the auction of mineral blocks, development of strategic minerals like lithium, and a new sand policy. Strict action is being taken against illegal mining, and large-scale afforestation is also being carried out for environmental protection.

The Chief Minister said that significant progress has also been made in the fields of digital infrastructure, education, and health. 829 mobile towers have been installed in remote areas, and thousands of gram panchayats are being connected to high-speed internet through BharatNet Phase-3.0. The problem of schools without teachers has been resolved through rationalization in education, while most families in the state have been provided with health security under the Ayushman Bharat Yojana.

Chief Minister Shri Sai said that the state has achieved significant accomplishments in the field of administrative reforms and e-governance. 528 services of 36 departments have been made available online through Seva Setu. Timely and transparent access to government services for common citizens is being ensured through e-District, Auto Mutation, Model Smart Registry Office, and Chief Minister Helpline 1076. He said that by implementing 435 administrative reforms, Chhattisgarh is being made a model of good governance.

The Chief Minister said that the state government is giving equal importance to environmental protection, eco-tourism, forest conservation, and the preservation of cultural heritage. More than seven crore saplings have been planted under the 'Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam' campaign. He said that thousands of devotees have already visited Ayodhya Dham through the Shri Ramlala Darshan Yojana, and the cultural and spiritual heritage of the state is getting a new identity.

In conclusion of his address, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai expressed confidence that the unwavering trust of the public is with the government, and the government will continue to work with full dedication and commitment to fulfill the resolution of a developed Chhattisgarh.
