The Chhattisgarh government is proactively managing the supply and distribution of fertilizers for the upcoming Kharif season 2025. The state has already stocked 12.27 lakh metric tons of various fertilizers, ensuring timely availability for farmers. To address potential shortages, particularly of DAP, the government is promoting alternative fertilizers like NPK, Super Phosphate, and Nano DAP. The distribution target has been revised to 17.18 lakh metric tons, reflecting an increase in the allocation for alternative fertilizers. The state has sufficient stocks of urea, with 5.63 lakh metric tons stored and 3.76 lakh metric tons distributed so far. The government is also focusing on the phased supply of urea, which is crucial for paddy cultivation. Nano DAP is being promoted with a storage of one lakh bottles in the cooperative sector to meet the needs.
