In a transformative move, Chhattisgarh is redefining itself beyond minerals and forests, aiming for leadership in tech and startups. Addressing stakeholders after an MoU between the state IT department and STPI, Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai outlined ambitious plans to empower the youth with local job opportunities in high-growth sectors.
The state’s modern infrastructure and pro-business policies have already attracted IT and emerging tech firms. Sai reiterated the government’s commitment to making Chhattisgarh a hub for knowledge-based industries, leveraging e-governance for efficiency.
Central to this vision is the launch of a Center of Entrepreneurship targeting AI, forest-medtech innovations, smart cities, and precision farming. Complementing it, an advanced ESDD facility will annually aid dozens of hardware ventures and small businesses with design, prototyping, and training services.
STPI’s extensive experience across India will infuse Chhattisgarh’s ecosystem with proven strategies for success. The Chief Minister hailed this as a game-changer, predicting it will spark an economic boom and establish the state as a national leader in digital entrepreneurship.
Attendees included top bureaucrats and industry leaders, underscoring the initiative’s significance. This partnership not only promises jobs but also fosters a culture of innovation, ensuring sustainable growth for Chhattisgarh’s vibrant youth population.
