Raipur. Dr. Rakesh Gupta, President of Chhattisgarh Pradesh Congress Committee Medical Cell, has accused the state government of heavy corruption in the tender process of four new medical college buildings. He said that the opening of 4 new proposed medical college buildings Manendragarh, Geedam, Janjgir-Champa and Kabirdham has been revealed without the release of the integrated tender 1020.60 crore without completing the process of selection.
Preparations are being made to settled the process in a hurry by keeping selected people in the technical committee constituted for building construction. The members of the Technical Committee are being pressurized to go home to sign. The tender of the four medical college was called together so that only a favorite company could work. The turnover was sought more so that small companies could not participate.
Rakesh Gupta has alleged that under the patronage of current Health Minister Shyam Bihari Jaiswal, Chairman of Chhattisgarh Medical Services Corporation Limited, the rules are being openly ignored by the officials and members of the Technical Committee and big transactions are being flushed. Apparently the integrated tender is preparing to give it to a faced company, due to which the turnover of the so -called company has been kept highly so that the general companies do not participate in it. The amount of the four medical colleges, buildings proposed under the Central Government Pradhan Mantri Health Protection Scheme is to be used under this item. Due to the difference in the geographical location of the four medical colleges, by doing different tender process, the state government increases the chances of getting additional benefits in competition and promotes transparency. But under the protection of the President of CGMSC and the Health Minister, the members of the Technical Committee are being pressed and asked to approve the tender at one and a half times higher rate.
State Congress Medical Cell President Dr. Rakesh Gupta said that CGMSC’s corruption activities are already headlines and they are being promoted in the protection of the minister. The example of which is the tender process of the four medical colleges. The tender process should be done by canceling the entire tender process and adopting a transparent process again.
