CG High Court Summer Vacation: Bilaspur. The Chhattisgarh High Court has issued a notification regarding heat holiday. According to this, the High Court will be closed from May 12, 2025 (Monday) to 6 June 2025 (Friday) and will be reopened from 9 June 2025 (Monday). During this time, a leisure bench will do judicial work on some selected dates.
These dates will be given to these dates during the holiday
The leisure bench will be heard on 13, 15, 20, 22, 27 and 29 May and 3 and 5 June 2025.
Instructions for meeting and filing during summer vacation
All civil/criminal/writ cases will be filed during summer vacation. In any emergency, the Honorable Leave Judge can change his lordship meeting with another honorable judge after receiving the approval of the Honorable Chief Justice. Honorable Holiday Judges will operate the division bench court from 10:30 am and can continue to sit in emergency even after the time of the court. Honorable Holiday Judge, if time is allowed, after completion of cases of division bench, they will operate the single bench court. During summer holidays, the registry will be open daily from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm, except on Saturday, Sunday and holidays.
The following cases will be listed during summer vacation
All new writ/civil/criminal cases with an application for immediate hearing during summer holidays. In new and pending bail applications, the application for immediate hearing and an application for hearing during summer holidays will not be required and they will be listed during summer holidays. For the list of pending cases other than bail applications, immediate hearing application and application for hearing during summer holidays require. The cases did not reach the leisure judges will be listed in a separate list before the next holiday judges. The matters/applications filed till 1.30 pm on working day before the seating day of the backs will be considered to list the day of the sitting and the list will be published on the day just before the day of seating. The holiday judges will hold court meetings on 13, 15, 20, 22, 27 and 29 May, 2025 and 3 and 5 June 2025.
