Investigation Launched as CCTV Footage Sought in Balod Acid Attack

Following the acid attack on a police officer’s daughter in Balod, law enforcement agencies have launched an intensive investigation centered on CCTV recordings. The victim was returning from the district library when the attack occurred, sustaining grave injuries that required referral to a higher medical facility.

Investigators have secured video from multiple cameras installed around the library and the Aampara market area. The footage is being scrutinised to identify the suspect and to reconstruct the sequence of events leading up to the assault. Police officials emphasised that the suspect’s identity, as well as the reason for the attack, are still unknown.
