Build the Nation with Youth Knowledge, Innovation and Moral Values

Youth knowledge, innovation and moral values can build the nation, said Governor Ramen Deka. The Governor presented degrees to students at the sixth convocation ceremony of Jindal University in Raipur. He emphasized that the true purpose of education is not merely to obtain a degree but to apply knowledge with wisdom, ethics and social responsibility for public welfare. A learned person's identity is defined not by certificates but by contributions to society and the nation. He urged students to undertake at least one activity in their lives that provides lasting benefit to society and inspires future generations. Governor Deka addressed the ceremony as chief guest at O.P. Jindal University in Raigarh, where 688 students from the School of Engineering, School of Management and School of Science received undergraduate and postgraduate degrees. Outstanding academic performers – 27 gold, 28 silver and 29 bronze medalists – were honored. He noted that the current era is marked by rapid technological change, innovation and global competition, and higher education institutions must now nurture youth who combine knowledge with sensitivity, leadership, research inclination and social concern. He stressed that the real value of education lies in applying knowledge with understanding, foresight and moral courage, benefiting society and humanity. He called for at least one lasting, beneficial action for society and expressed confidence that graduates will play a vital role in the country's development and social upliftment. The ceremony was attended by Jindal Steel Chairman and MP Mr. Naveen Jindal, University Chancellor Mrs. Shalu Jindal, CG Private University Regulatory Commission Chairman Prof. Vijay Kumar Goyal, Jindal Steel Raigarh Executive Director Mr. Debojyoti Roy and Vice-Chancellor Dr. R.D. Patidar.
