Breaking: Big Setback for Terminated B.Ed Teachers, No Benefit Granted, DPI Issues Order

The state government has decided that terminated B.Ed teachers, who are being appointed to the post of Assistant Teacher Science Lab, will not receive the benefit of prior service calculation. This means their seniority, based on their previous experience as teachers with B.Ed qualifications, will be nullified.

The Directorate of Public Instruction (DPI) has issued an order in this regard for all districts except Raipur, Durg, Bilaspur, and Janjgir-Champa. The DPI has instructed the DEOs (District Education Officers) to create a new employee code and a new service book. The service period of the former post of Assistant Teacher, where the service was terminated, will not be added to the qualifying service of the current post.
