From Blood Donation to Digital Literacy: 25 Activities Planned Across Chhattisgarh
RAYPUR, September 15, 2026 – The "Seva Sankalp" mission, timed to celebrate Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 25 years of public leadership, will roll out a comprehensive slate of 25 service actions throughout Chhattisgarh from September 17 to October 17, 2026.
The agenda covers a broad spectrum: blood‑donation camps to boost the nation’s plasma reserves; large‑scale afforestation drives; cleanliness campaigns in urban and rural zones; free health screenings; rain‑water harvesting and water‑conservation projects; as well as digital‑literacy sessions aimed at senior citizens and first‑time internet users.
Organisers are urging citizens to contribute at least a quarter‑hour of volunteer time. Participants who upload a photo or short video of their service on the "My Bharat" portal will receive a digital certificate recognizing their effort.
On the opening day, September 17, cultural programs "Aashirvaad Ka Diya" and "Namo Seva Gatha" will be staged in the auditoriums of Raipur, Durg, Bilaspur, Ambikapur and Jagdalpur. Coordinated by district authorities and the State Department of Culture, these events will feature local artists performing street‑theatre and dance‑dramas that recount 25 years of public service, flagship welfare initiatives and the nation’s socioeconomic transformation.
At the block level, multi‑purpose "Seva Setu" camps will be set up to disseminate scheme details, assist eligible families in applying for benefits, and provide on‑spot assistance. An innovative "Seva First Innovation Challenge" will also be launched to recognize creative solutions that improve service delivery.
From September 17 through October 7, schools and colleges will host painting and speech competitions centred on the theme "Developed India 2047." The contests aim to immerse students in Modi’s service agenda and the country’s development roadmap. Simultaneously, campuses will organise blood‑donation drives, cleanliness rallies, exhibitions, seminars and awareness programmes on government schemes.
Anganwadi centres will celebrate "Angan Ka Utsav" from September 25 to October 7, delivering information on nutrition, maternal assistance, immunisation, and women‑child welfare schemes, while applauding the contribution of Anganwadi workers.
The "Kahani Badlav Ki" initiative will gather authentic success stories of citizens who have benefitted from various government programmes, using these narratives to motivate other eligible individuals to claim entitlements and achieve self‑reliance.
Through the "Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra," about 50 transformational locations—ranging from Gujarat’s GIFT City to Bastar’s emerging hubs—will be highlighted as case studies of progress under the Modi government. Selected social‑media creators will be invited to document the visits.
The campaign will culminate on October 17, 2026, with the "Jansevak Mahakumbh," a grand convergence expected to attract roughly 125,000 public representatives from the village panchayat level to the Parliament. The closing ceremony will feature a collective rendition of all six verses of "Vande Mataram," reinforcing the spirit of national service.
By integrating government bodies with citizens, NGOs, elected officials, educational institutions, self‑help groups, youth, women and the broader public, the Seva Sankalp Campaign endeavors to expand the scale of citizen participation and deepen the impact of welfare schemes.
