Bilaspur District Sees Tragic Lightning Fatality, Injures Farmer

In the early hours of 10 August 2026, a violent thunderstorm produced a lightning strike that hit Heera Bai Dhuri and her relative Sugreev Dhuri in the rural hamlet of Selar Barbhatha, Bilaspur. The woman succumbed to the shock, while the man endured severe burns. Emergency services transferred them to SIMS Hospital, and the Sepat police are collecting evidence to determine the circumstances surrounding the tragedy.
