Big Transfer Drive in Chhattisgarh Public Works Department

The Public Works Department of Chhattisgarh has undertaken a sizeable round of transfers, relocating 84 employees to different postings. The decision was taken with the objective of tightening departmental work.

The transfers cover personnel across multiple posts. Among them, 29 cartographers have been moved, making them the largest group in the list. Fourteen Assistant Grade-1 employees and 41 Assistant Grade-2 employees have also been transferred and assigned fresh duties.

The transfer order was issued on 22 October. Staff members have been moved away from their existing places of posting and placed in other locations, and they are expected to assume charge at their new stations.

With these changes, the department hopes to achieve smoother coordination and a more systematic functioning of its operations.
