Big Relief for Farmers Due to CM Shri Vishnudev Sai's Initiative: Lump-sum Urea to be Provided in Kharif 2026 Like Previous Year, 80% Distribution Limit Removed

Raipur, June 30, 2026/Under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai, the state government is continuously taking important decisions to provide timely agricultural inputs to farmers and make farming more accessible. In this series, a big relief has been given to the farmers of Janjgir-Champa district for the Kharif season 2026 by removing the 80 percent limit imposed on urea distribution through cooperative societies. Now, farmers will be provided lump-sum urea according to their eligibility, similar to Kharif 2025.

Deputy Director Agriculture Shri Rakesh Sharma informed that in Kharif 2026, urea will be distributed to farmers in accordance with the quantity of urea received by them in Kharif 2025. If sufficient stock is available in the concerned cooperative society, farmers will be provided lump-sum urea. If there is a shortage of stock in any society, the remaining quantity will be distributed to the farmers as soon as urea becomes available.

He stated that this decision by the government will save farmers from repeatedly visiting the society, and timely availability of essential fertilizers during the Kharif season will allow agricultural activities to proceed smoothly. This will facilitate farmers in preparing for cultivation and will also accelerate crop production with timely fertilizer availability.

This decision by the state government reflects its sensitivity towards farmers' interests and its commitment to making farming more profitable. The government's aim is to increase their production capacity by providing necessary agricultural inputs to farmers on time and to make agriculture more prosperous and sustainable.
