Bhoramdev Pilgrimage Commences with Har Har Mahadev and Bol Bam Chants, Kabirdham Becomes Shivish

Har Har Mahadev and Bol Bam chants accompanied the departure of the Bhoramdev pilgrimage, making Kabirdham Shivish. Deputy Chief Minister Shri Vijay Sharma participated in the pilgrimage along with thousands of devotees. The Deputy Chief Minister performed worship of Boodha Mahadev and Baba Bhoramdev, praying for the prosperity and welfare of the state. Raipur, on the first Monday of the Shravana month, saw thousands of devotees join the pilgrimage to the historic archaeological, tourism and public faith centre Baba Bhoramdev Temple in Kabirdham district, accompanied by Deputy Chief Minister Shri Vijay Sharma. Before the Bhoramdev pilgrimage, Deputy Chief Minister Sharma performed Vedic mantra chanting and proper worship of Panchmukhi Boodha Mahadev. Together with public representatives, the Deputy Chief Minister and participants began the 18‑kilometre pilgrimage with the flags of saffron in hand, shouting Har Har Mahadev and Bol Bam. Deputy Chief Minister Sharma said that the first Monday of Shravana is a special occasion for worship of Lord Bhole Nath. He said that the participation of large numbers of devotees in the Baba Bhoramdev pilgrimage each year is a symbol of our faith and tradition. He added that all devotees on this sacred journey receive the blessings of Lord Bhole Nath. He emphasized that Bhoramdev is not only an ancient temple but also a source of pride for Chhattisgarh’s historic, religious and cultural identity. The government is continuously working for the protection, development and expansion of facilities for devotees at this holy site. He wished all devotees a happy Shravana month, prosperity, peace and success, and thanked all representatives, social organisations, officials, staff, volunteers and devotees for their cooperation in making the pilgrimage successful. Pilgrims were welcomed and honoured with flower bouquets and tilak at various places. The Bhoramdev pilgrimage from Kawardha to the temple covered 18 kilometres, creating an atmosphere of enthusiasm and excitement. Various organisations, social groups and villagers presented flower bouquets, garlands and tilak to the participants and officials. Panch‑Sarpanch of village panchayats, Forest Department, Engineers Association, District Press Club, Joint Hands, Truck Owners Association, Private School Association and other departments set up stalls at different locations offering tea, coffee, snacks, juice, sherbet, lemon water, kheer‑pudding and fruits to pilgrims and participants. A flood of devotion surged as thousands of devotees joined the pilgrimage. Since 2008, the Baba Bhoramdev pilgrimage has been held annually, and this year also saw a large number of devotees. The 18‑kilometre march from Panchmukhi Boodha Mahadev Temple in Kawardha to Baba Bhoramdev Temple saw thousands of devotees, carriers, youth, women and elders participating with great enthusiasm and devotion. Attractive floats based on Lord Shiva, Mother Parvati, Ganesha, Nandi and the Shiva family were the centre of attraction, with devotional performances, bhajans, kirtans and Har Har Mahadev chants creating a Shivish atmosphere along the route. The Deputy Chief Minister emphasized the Save the Girl Child – Educate the Girl Child campaign, observing a awareness stall set up by the Women and Child Development Department near Samnapur, praising the campaign and urging the spread of the message of education, safety and respect for girls. The pilgrimage also saw participation of former parliamentary secretary Dr. Siyarām Sahu, Shri Motiram Chandravanshi, Chairman of the Cow Service Commission Shri Bisesar Patel, Chairman of the Farmers Welfare Board Shri Suresh Chandravanshi, District Panchayat Chairman Shri Ishwari Sahu, Vice‑Chairman Shri Kailash Chandravanshi, District Panchayat member Shri Ram Kumar Bhatt, Dr. Virendra Sahu, Municipal Chairman Shri Chandraprakash Chandravanshi, Collector Shri Gopal Verma, District Panchayat CEO Shri Abhishek Agrawal and many other representatives, officials, social organisations, Swami Vivekananda Academy, school children and hundreds of men, women and children who joined spontaneously.
