Bastar's delegation leaves for Delhi with the message of a changing Bastar

Raipur, A delegation of 164 people from Bastar, including Pargana Manjhi, Chalaki, community heads, renowned tribal youth artists of Bastar Pandum-2026, tribal community representatives, and Padma Shri awardees from Bastar, has left for Delhi today with the objective of presenting Bastar's rich tribal culture, social traditions, and the new picture of a changing Bastar on the national stage. This delegation will meet the Hon'ble President Smt. Droupadi Murmu on July 30, 2026, at a program organized in Rashtrapati Bhavan and apprise her of Bastar's glorious cultural heritage, folk traditions, and social system.

Members of the delegation will also convey the message to the President that today's Bastar has moved beyond the identity of violence and fear and entered a new era of peace, development, and trust. Bastar, once identified by the shadow of Naxalism, is now building a new identity of peace, development, education, tourism, sports, and cultural consciousness. Our youth will convey this positive change to the country's highest constitutional institution. He said that the delegation will also express gratitude on behalf of the people of Bastar to the Hon'ble President for the cooperation received in the decisive fight against Naxalism and to the country's leadership.
