Amalipadar's Rath Yatra is an invaluable heritage of faith and culture: Chief Minister Shri Vishnudeo Sai
Raipur / The historic Rath Yatra of Amalipadar is a symbol of Chhattisgarh's rich cultural heritage and social harmony. Lord Shri Jagannath gives the message of moving forward together and public welfare. His prayer is that the blessings of Mahaprabhu always remain with the people of the state. Chief Minister Shri Vishnudeo Sai said this today while addressing the historic Rath Yatra Mahaparva of Lord Shri Jagannath organized in Amalipadar, Gariyaband district.
Chief Minister Shri Vishnudeo Sai participated in the Rath Yatra festival today and offered prayers to Lord Shri Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra, and Mother Subhadra, wishing for the happiness, prosperity, peace, and well-being of the state's residents. On this occasion, Deputy Chief Minister and Home Minister Shri Vijay Sharma, Rajim MLA Shri Rohit Sahu, Vice Chairman of Chhattisgarh Gau Seva Ayog Shri Rajiv Lochan Maharaj, and many other public representatives were present.
Chief Minister Shri Sai said that the state government is continuously working with a commitment to development and public welfare. The government's priority is to ensure that the benefits of government schemes reach the last person in society and that there is a positive change in the life of every citizen.
*Electricity Bill Settlement Scheme extended till September*
Chief Minister Shri Sai said that the last date for the Chief Minister's Electricity Bill Settlement Scheme, which was set till June, has been extended by three months to September, keeping in mind the convenience of consumers. He appealed to the people to take maximum benefit of this scheme.
He said that the government is taking decisions with sensitivity to reduce the financial burden on common citizens and provide them with relief.
The Chief Minister said that the Mahtari Vandan Yojana is a historic initiative towards the economic empowerment of women. Under this scheme, amounts are being directly transferred to the bank accounts of eligible women every month, due to which women are becoming self-reliant and playing an important role in the economic strength of the family.
He said that the empowerment of women is the strongest foundation stone of a developed Chhattisgarh, and the state government is continuously working in this direction.
*Government committed to quick resolution of public grievances*
Chief Minister Shri Sai said that the state government is working round the clock for the speedy resolution of citizens' problems. He informed that immediate action is being ensured on the complaints received by the government, and he himself reviews the complaints daily. He said that more than 42 thousand complaints have been successfully resolved so far, which is proof of the government's commitment to good governance.
*Bridge to be built over Baltijore drain*
Accepting the long-standing demand of the area residents, Chief Minister Shri Vishnudeo Sai announced the construction of a bridge over the Baltijore drain. He said that the construction of the bridge will provide smooth and safe transportation facilities to the people of the area throughout the year and will provide great relief to the villagers in accessing essential services like education, health, and markets.
*Chief Minister's intimate conversation with children*
During the Rath Yatra, Chief Minister Shri Vishnudeo Sai stopped his convoy and had an intimate interaction with the students of Saraswati Shishu Mandir. He spoke with the children about their studies, future plans, and school activities. The Chief Minister encouraged the students and, at their request, took selfies with the children with affection. The Chief Minister's simple and affectionate behavior was a special attraction for the people present.
*Large participation of devotees*
Thousands of devotees enthusiastically participated in the Rath Yatra Mahaparva. Amidst religious rituals, devotional music, and chants of victory, the entire Amalipadar was immersed in a devotional atmosphere. Collector Shri B.S. Uike, Superintendent of Police Shri Vedvrat Sirmour, along with other public representatives, administrative officials, and a large number of devotees, were present at the event.
