Adequate Quantity of Chemical Fertilizer Available at Service Cooperative Society Munund

Service Cooperative Society Munund has adequate quantity of chemical fertilizer. Administration vigilant to prevent hoarding. Raipur, 30 June 2026 / The state government is working with vigilance to provide sufficient chemical fertilizer to farmers for the Kharif season 2026. District administrations are also keeping strict monitoring on the availability of fertilizer and seeds. The administration is vigilant to stop hoarding of fertilizer and seeds. In this vein, agricultural officers of Janjgir-Champa district administration have said that for the Kharif 2026 season, adequate availability of fertilizers is being ensured for farmers in Janjgir-Champa district and regular inspection and legal action are being taken to prevent hoarding of fertilizer. According to the agriculture department, in the cooperative sector, out of the target of 39,200 metric tonnes of fertilizer distribution, 21,362 metric tonnes are currently available, of which 7,826 metric tonnes have been distributed to farmers. Similarly, in the private sector, against a target of 26,130 metric tonnes, 13,487 metric tonnes of fertilizer are available and 10,150 metric tonnes have been distributed. In the Navagadh development block of Janjgir-Champa district, the Service Cooperative Society Munund currently has ample storage of urea, DAP, NPK, zinced super phosphate and nano fertilizers, and continuous distribution to farmers is underway. Officials said that fertilizers are being distributed to farmers through the Kisan Credit Card (KCC) based on their farming investments. Considering farmer convenience, fertilizer distribution has been continued even on holidays including Saturdays and Sundays by operating service cooperative societies. To prevent hoarding and irregularities in distribution, district and block level fertilizer inspection teams are regularly inspecting private agricultural centers. During inspection, if fertilizer is found being sold at prices above the government rate, immediate legal action is taken against the concerned sellers.
