30th Installment of Mahtari Vandan Yojana Reaches Accounts of Matrushakti
Chief Minister Mr. Vishnu Deo Sai transferred Rs 630.55 crore to the accounts of 67.20 lakh mothers and sisters through DBT. Strong resolve of the government towards women empowerment, over Rs 19,444.33 crore disbursed under the scheme so far. Raipur / Chief Minister Mr. Vishnu Deo Sai today released the 30th installment of the Mahtari Vandan Yojana from the Chief Minister's residence office and transferred an amount of Rs 630 crore 55 lakh 54 thousand 300 to the bank accounts of 67 lakh 20 thousand 125 eligible women of the state through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT). On this occasion, Minister of Women and Child Development, Mrs. Laxmi Rajwade, Principal Secretary, Mrs. Shahla Nigar, and Director Dr. Renuka Srivastava were present. Chief Minister Mr. Vishnu Deo Sai said that the Mahtari Vandan Yojana is one of the major public welfare schemes of the state government, which aims to empower women economically and provide them with a dignified and self-reliant life. He said that when mothers and sisters are economically empowered, the family becomes strong, the future of children becomes secure, and society moves forward in a new direction of development. Therefore, the empowerment of Matrushakti is among the top priorities of the state government. Chief Minister Mr. Sai said that this scheme is not limited to providing a monthly assistance of one thousand rupees, but has become an effective medium for strengthening women's confidence, decision-making ability, and social participation. In lakhs of families in the state, this amount is being used for important works like education, health, nutrition, and livelihood, thereby further strengthening the economic role of women. Chief Minister Mr. Sai said that many women are spending the amount received from the Mahtari Vandan Yojana on their children's education. Many mothers are regularly investing in the Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana for the bright future of their daughters. A large number of women have increased their income by starting small self-employment ventures like tailoring, beauty parlors, dairy, grocery stores, vegetable vending, animal husbandry, agarbatti making, and others. With this, they are not only fulfilling the financial needs of the family but also setting new examples of self-reliance at the local level. Chief Minister Mr. Sai said that good governance does not just mean making schemes, but ensuring that their benefits reach the last person in a timely and transparent manner. The Mahtari Vandan Yojana is a result of this thinking, in which an amount of one thousand rupees is directly deposited into the bank accounts of women every month without any hassle. The DBT system has increased transparency and also strengthened the faith of women in the government. He said that the state government is continuously working in various fields like education, health, nutrition, self-employment, skill development, and financial inclusion for the all-round development of women. The Mahtari Vandan Yojana is becoming an important foundation for all these efforts, providing economic security and social respect to women. Scheme implemented across the state from March 1, 2024: Over Rs 19,444.33 crore disbursed in 30 installments. The Mahtari Vandan Yojana was launched on March 1, 2024. After the 30th installment released today, the total amount disbursed under the scheme has increased to over Rs 19,444 crore 33 lakh. The impact of the Mahtari Vandan Yojana is now clearly visible in the lives of lakhs of families in the state. Regular financial assistance has boosted women's confidence, strengthened their participation in household decisions, and increased spending on children's education, nutrition, and health. The financial condition of many families has improved, and women have started earning additional income through self-help groups and small businesses. Women's economic empowerment is the strongest foundation stone for inclusive development. The Mahtari Vandan Yojana is realizing this thought, giving new strength to the respect, self-pride, and self-reliance of Matrushakti, and playing an important role in building a developed Chhattisgarh.
