In Indian culture, service is not merely a duty but the highest virtue of life. This very spirit of service inspires individuals to rise above themselves and dedicate themselves to the welfare of society and the nation. Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi's 25 years in public life are a symbol of this inspiring journey of service, dedication, good governance, and nation-building.
Taking on the responsibility of public service as the Chief Minister of Gujarat on October 7, 2001, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has given the highest priority to public welfare and national interest in these 25 years of his public life. His journey from Chief Minister of Gujarat to Prime Minister of the country has been an example of development, firm resolve, and public trust. He has made governance not just an administrative system but a means to bring positive change in the lives of the poor, farmers, women, youth, and the last person in society.
Under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Modi, the country has achieved significant milestones in public welfare and the expansion of basic facilities in recent years. The Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana has provided pucca houses to crores of families. The Ujjwala Yojana has freed women from smoke, Ayushman Bharat has provided health security to needy families, and the Swachh Bharat Mission has strengthened women's honor and dignity along with cleanliness. Citizens are benefiting from food security through the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana.
The Jan Dhan Yojana, Digital India, and Direct Benefit Transfer have made government schemes more accessible and transparent. Initiatives like Kisan Samman Nidhi, Mudra Yojana, Startup India, and Skill Development have provided new opportunities to farmers, youth, and entrepreneurs. The most significant aspect of these efforts is the prioritization of delivering the benefits of development to the last person in society.
Prime Minister Shri Modi has also given a new direction to the conservation of India's cultural and spiritual heritage along with development. The construction of Shri Ram Temple in Ayodhya, the development of Kashi Vishwanath Dham, and the expansion of facilities at major pilgrimage sites across the country are giving new recognition to the glory of Indian culture. The expansion of religious and cultural tourism is also creating new opportunities for local employment, handicrafts, and livelihoods.
Chhattisgarh, under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai, is continuously moving towards realizing Prime Minister Shri Modi's resolve for a Developed India. Efforts are being made in the state to develop tourist destinations, conserve tribal culture, expand facilities at religious sites, and promote local artists and artisans. Our rich cultural heritage is an important cornerstone for building a developed Chhattisgarh.
On the occasion of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi completing 25 years in public life, the 'Seva Sankalp Abhiyan' organized in Chhattisgarh from September 17 to October 17, 2026, has infused new energy into public service and public participation. Under this campaign, led by Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai, an effort has been made to connect various sections of society with service and nation-building activities through 12 key initiatives.
While 'Ashirwad ka Diya' conveyed a message of service, gratitude, and positivity, 'Mere Sapnon ka Bharat-Chitra Seva' provided an opportunity for children and students to express their visions of a developed India. Initiatives like 'Namo Seva-Ankahi Kahaniyan' and 'Seva ke Rang, Rashtra ke Sang' have carried the spirit of service to the masses through art, culture, and creative activities.
Through 'Aangan Milan Seva', awareness was promoted towards maternal and child health, nutrition, and women's empowerment. 'Seva ki Kahani' brought to the fore the positive changes in citizens' lives due to public welfare schemes. Initiatives like 'Seva Sankalp Yatra', 'Seva Jyoti Kalash Yatra', and 'Seva Mera Yogdan' strengthened the spirit of social participation and collective responsibility.
Similarly, 'Seva Setu Abhiyan' and 'Sushasan Seva Samvad' conveyed the message of connecting citizens with government services and making administration more sensitive and responsive. The 'Seva First Innovation Challenge' encouraged new thinking and innovation among youth. These activities conveyed the message that nation-building is not just the government's responsibility, but a shared responsibility of every citizen.
The formal conclusion of the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan is on October 17, 2026. In the past month, this campaign has provided an opportunity to advance the spirit of service, cleanliness, social awareness, creativity, and public participation on a large scale. However, the true significance of this campaign will be realized only when this resolve for service becomes a permanent part of our daily lives and social behavior.
Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi's 25-year journey of service inspires us that significant changes are possible with strong willpower, continuous hard work, and public participation. A Developed India will be built only when every citizen, understanding their responsibilities, contributes to the progress of society and the nation.
I congratulate all the citizens, youth, women, students, artists, social organizations, and public representatives of Chhattisgarh who have contributed to advancing the spirit of the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan. Let us all resolve to make cleanliness, environmental protection, helping the needy, education for daughters, conservation of cultural heritage, and social harmony a part of our lives.
The conclusion of the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan is the end of an event, not the end of the spirit of service. It is the beginning of new resolves towards public welfare, good governance, and the building of a Developed India. By making service a virtue, public participation a strength, and nation-building our shared resolve, we can realize the dream of a developed Chhattisgarh and a developed India.
