102 Forest Officers Shifted in Chhattisgarh Mass Transfer Order
Raipur: The Chhattisgarh government has issued a mass transfer order affecting 102 forest officers. The order, dated October 26, 2026, reassigns officers across the state's forest divisions, ranges, national parks, and tiger reserves.
The transfers cover a wide geographic area. Postings have been changed in Bastar, Dantewada, Bijapur, Sukma, Raipur, Bilaspur, Surguja, Raigarh, Korba, and several other districts.
With such a large number of officers being moved, the forest department now faces a period of transition. Officers are required to assume their new charges according to the revised assignments.
The order reflects the state's decision to reorganize its forest administration. How these changes will shape the management of forest areas and protected zones remains to be seen as the new postings take effect.
