New responsibilities allocated to senior officers in Chhattisgarh's General Administration Department

The General Administration Department (GAD) of Chhattisgarh announced a major personnel realignment affecting 23 officers. GAD appointed Gopal Verma as Joint Secretary of the Forest, Water and Climate Change Department and gave Heena Animesh Netam additional charge as Managing Director of the Endowment Cooperative Finance and Development Corporation. Special Secretary Sumit Kumar now heads the Food, Civil Supply and Consumer Protection Department, and Gajendra Singh Thakur received extra duties as Director of Social Welfare. Somil Ranjan Chaubey has been tasked with managing the Tourism Board, with his appointment also noting the conversion of his post to a non‑classified position under the IAS (Salary) Rules, 2016.
