Chaturvedi Blames Government for Suppressing Youth Voices on Exam Fraud Issues

Priyanka Chaturvedi, a senior Shiv Sena (UBT) politician, addressed a press conference in Mumbai on July 22, condemning the central government's handling of the NEET‑UG examination controversy. She demanded that Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan step down, citing repeated failures to safeguard the credibility of national exams.

According to Chaturvedi, the administration’s approach has shifted from dialogue to intimidation, using lathi charges and tear‑gas against students demanding accountability. She emphasized that the youth are exercising their constitutional right to protest, not advancing any partisan agenda.

The leader highlighted that more than 900 students have been detained across the country, while families of the deceased continue to seek justice. She accused the government of fabricating foreign‑interference narratives to deflect criticism and warned that such tactics undermine India’s democratic fabric.

Chaturvedi concluded by urging the education ministry to initiate a transparent inquiry, replace the minister, and restore confidence in the nation’s examination system.
