Eyewitnesses present at the scene have described the devastating scene, claiming that nothing could be done to control the massive crowd. The event resulted in at least 39 fatalities and numerous injuries, with several individuals in critical condition. Nand Kumar, an eyewitness, stated that nothing could be done to manage the crowd. Many had come with children, were hungry, or were facing difficult circumstances. The unexpected arrival of Vijay, six hours late, led to an unprecedented influx of people, far exceeding the estimated capacity, which contributed to the tragic incident.
